Crazy Bastard Sauce
Jonathan O’Reilly beschrijft hoe Crazy Bastard Sauce is ontstaan en wat het is dat hun saus bijzonder maakt.
Crazy Bastard Sauce began life in 2011, as a home made hot sauce in a marmalade glass. It was used to spice up the fajitas at a street food stall run by Jonathan on Berlin’s Maybachufer Market. The sauce continued to evolve and improve as Jonathan tried to create his perfect hot sauce with just the right heat and a well balanced flavour.
After two years of experimental sauce making it became the Habanero & Tomatillo sauce or “Yellow Label”. Crazy Bastard Sauce was officially founded in 2013 and after designing the logo and registering the trademark it was ready for sale. The original Habanero & Tomatillo sauce went on to win five international awards including a Hot Pepper Award in 2014, two World Hot Sauce Awards in 2015 and 2016, and two great taste awards in 2017 and 2018. There are now 7 different sauces in the permanent range as well as regularly changing special editions.
Each sauce has a different chili and a different flavour. They do not contain added sugar, chili extract or artificial thickeners or flavourings. Only real heat and real flavour.
